Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer

Makeup Revolution have probably some of the best drugstore makeup out there especially now that they have upgraded their TAM Beauty Website to Revolution Beauty. They are known for making amazing quality dupes such as eyeshadow palettes, highlighters and lipsticks. Recently they cam out with a new concealer, the Conceal & Define Concealer which a lot of Youtubers and other social media influencers claimed it to be an amazing dupe of the Tarte Shape Tape but obviously at a reasonable price.

Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer comes in 18 shades which are the following:

For Fair skin tones:

C1 - neutral undertone C2 - yellow undertone C3 - pink undertone

For Light Skin tones:

C4 - neutral undertone C5 - pink undertone C6 - For light/medium skin tones with yellow undertone

For Medium skin tones:

C7 - peach undertone C8 - yellow undertone C9 - peach undertone C10 - golden undertone C11 - For medium/dark skin tones with a beige undertone C12 - For medium/dark skin tones with a neutral undertone

For Dark Skin tones:

C13 - warm undertone C14 - cool undertone C15 - neutral undertone C16 - warm undertone C17 - neutral undertone C18 - warm undertone

Since these concealers can only be purchased online I decided to ask a skin specialist what exact skin tone is. I was told that I have a fair to light skin tone with pink undertones, however when I went to a makeup store to test a concealer in person I was told I was a light skin tone with neutral undertones and she told me it depends on the lighting in the stores. Since I was not entirely sure I purchased both C3 and C4 and hoped for the best.

I have know been wearing the concealer for about 2 weeks and honestly I have to say it is the best one I have used to date. From the 2 shades I bought C3 proved to be a better concealer shade as it was slightly lighter than my actual skin tone however C4 still blended in quite nicely but I think it is better during summer when my skin gets maybe a shade darker or even when I want to go for a day without foundation and would just like to cover my spots.

What I found when using this concealer is that I rarely I have to go in twice for product. Since the applicator is quite big I just dot it over my spots and a little under my eyes and blending it in with a beauty blender (or my fingers in some places) it blends quite well and provides medium coverage with the first application. If you would like full coverage, the second application should do it as it is quite buildable and does not look cakey.

Paired with my Rimmel Longlasting Foundation it last longer than other concealers before getting oily. It does have a matte finish so I would not suggest it for people who have dry skin or if so try pairing it with a hydrating foundation. When I have long uni days I usually tend to wear my makeup roughly from around 7am till around 8pm. My skin is very oily so it is not the first time that I top-up my concealer and powder during the day however with this concealer I have found myself doing less of both.

The one downside of the product is that it is a thick glass bottle and you only get 3.4ml of product although at the price of €4.99 it is still a bargain however I would suggest maybe a thinner glass bottle with more product?

I was not disappointed by this product and have already planned to repurchase it just to have backup in case I lose it or it finishes. I am also planning on purchasing some new goodies from the new Revolution Pro Range as there come gorgeous pressed glitter shadows and eyeshadow palettes so keep an eye out on my instagram page which is @tinasclaws as well as this space for a review.
